 FISH FRY RECIPE

        Hot and spicy fish fry recipe is a perfect appetizer.It is a good side dish for rasam rice.It is an easy and simple recipe that anyone can prepare.
        For the marination we should prepare the marination powder first.To prepare the marination powder at once and the excess powder should be stored in a air tight container or glass jar.Main thing is we should marinate the fish for atleast 30 min,so that the masala will be absorbed by the fish.
        I learnt this recipe from my mom.It is my daughter's favourite recipe.To prepare this recipe for kids use less amount of the marinating powder.Now let's check out the recipe....


PREPARATION TIME:15 MIN

COOKING TIME:30 MIN

INGREDIENTS:

Fish - 1/2 kg
Shallot - 10 cut it into half in lengthwise
Tomato - 2 
Curry leaves - 1 string

FOR GRINDING:

Red chillies - 25
Coriander seeds - 2 tblspn
Black pepper - 2 tblspn
Salt

PICTORIAL:

Add salt into the mixer jar


Add 2 tblspn pepper


Add 25 red chillies


Add 2 tblspn coriander


Grind well


Take 1/2 kg fish


Add 3 tblspn grinded powder.Adjust the powder as per your spiciness


Add 1 tspn turmeric powder



Mix well and rest for 1/2 an hour



Heat a kadai add 2 tblspn coconut oil


Add marinated fish pieces into it.Cook for 1 min and flip it over.Cook the other side for 1 min and flip it over.



Like that cook both sides until it is golden brown in colour.In the same method fry rest of the pieces 


In the same kadai add 1 tblspn coconut oil


Add chopped shallots and saute until it is transparent


Add  1/2 tblspn grinded powder



Fry until it is golden brown in colour



Add chopped tomato


Saute it for 35 seconds


Add all the fried fish pieces and switch off the flame



Mix well by tossing it.Don't use spoon or spatulas,pieces will break.


Hot and spicy fish fry is ready.

METHOD:

  • Take 25 red chillies,2 tblspn coriander seed,2 tblspn pepper and salt in a mixer jar.Grind well to get freshly grinded powder.
  • Take 1/2 kg fish add 3 tblspn grinded powder and 1 tspn turmeric powder,mix well and rest for 1/2 an hour.
  • After 1/2 an hour heat a kadai add 3 tblspn coconut oil,add 2 marinated fish pieces.
  • Cook for 1 min and flip it over.Cook the other side for 1 min and flip it over.Like that cook both sides until the fish pieces are golden brown in colour.In the same method fry the rest.
  • In the same kadai add 1 tblspn coconut oil,add 15 chopped shallots and 1/4 tblspn grinded powder,fry until it is golden brown in colour,then add chopped tomato and saute it for 35 seconds.
  • Now add fried fish pieces and mix well by tossing it.Don't use spoons or spatulas,pieces will break.
  • Hot and spicy fish fry is ready.
