WHITE SAUCE PASTA
An easy and popular pasta recipe made with creamy white sauce.Pasta is an Italian cuisine and it is adjusted to the Indian taste buds.To make white sauce pasta,first we need to prepare white sauce.It can be made by beginner also and taste delicious.This pasta is my sister's method of preparation and can be done using vegetable's like green peas, mushroom, sweet corn etc.But I used carrot and beans.
PREPARATION TIME : 10 MINS
COOKING TIME : 20 MINS
INGREDIENTS:
Elbow pasta /Macrooni- 500 grms
Carrot -2 Medium sized
Beans -5 to 6
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tspn
Olive oil - 2 tspn
Salt - to taste
FOR WHITE SAUCE
Unsalted Butter -2 tblspn
Wheat flour - 2 tblspn
Milk - 500 ml
Chilli flakes - 2 tspn
Black pepper powder - 1/4 tspn
Salt - to taste
PICTORIAL:
Take a thick bottom bowl and pour some water
Add salt as required
Add a tblspn of olive oil
when the water comes to boil add 500gm elbow pasta
Boil 7 to 10 mins
Once the pasta get cooked drain off and keep aside
Heat a kadai and add a tblspn of olive oil
Add finely chopped carrots,saute for 30 sec
Add in finely chopped beans,saute for 30 sec
Add salt
Add pepper powder
Add 2 tblspn butter
Add 2 tblspn of wheat flour
Keep the flame at low and add 2 cup warm milk and keep stirring
Mix until the sauce thickens and creamy without forming lumps
Add pepper powder
Add required amount of salt because we already added to the pasta and vegetable
Add chilly flakes
Add saute vegetables
Serve hot
METHOD:
- Take thick bottom vessel and add 4 liter of water and add 1 tblspn of salt.
- Once the water get boiled add 500 gm of pasta.Boiled the pasta for 7 to 10 mnts ot until the pasta is cook ed AL-DENTE.
- Drain off the pasta and keep aside.
- Heat a kadai,add 1 tblspn of olive oil and add finely chopprd carrot and beans and saute for a minute.
- Now add 1/2 tspn salt and 1/4 tspn pepper powder,saute until the vegetables shrinks slightly.Once the veggies cooked remove it from the kadai and keep aside.
- To prepare white sauce for pasta,heat a kadai add 2tblspn butter now add 2 tblspn wheat flour,saute it until it turns aromatic.
- Now keep the flame at low add 2 cups of warm milk and stir continuously.
- Mix until the sauce get thickens and creamy without forming lumps.Add 1 tspn salt,1/4 tspn pepper powder,2 tspn chilly flakes and mix well.
- Further we add sauted vegetables and boiled pasta and give it a nice mix.
- Add boiled pasta water if the white sauce is thicken and mix gently.
- Serve with hot.
