MUTTON ROAST


           I learnt this recipe from my chithi.It is an easy and simple recipe but taste delicious.It is prepared by using boneless mutton pieces and it is chopped into small pieces.The main ingredients used in this recipe are pepper powder,red chilli flakes,shallots and curry leaves.


PREPARATION TIME:20 min

COOKING TIME :40 min

INGREDIENTS:

Boneless mutton piece -250 gm
Pepper powder -1 tblspn
Dried red chillies - 15
Salt 
Shallots - 1cup 
Curry leaves - handful

PICTORIAL:

Add 15 dried red chillies into mixer jar


Add a hand full of salt


Grind them to get chilli flakes


In a kadai add 250 gm washed boneless mutton pieces


Add a tblspn of pepper powder



Add 4 tblspn freshly grinded red chilli flakes


Mix well


Heat a pan add 3 tblspn coconut oil


Add 1 cup shallots


Add a hand full of curry leaves


Saute until it golden


Add marinated mutton pieces


Add 3 cups of water


Cover the lid and wait to boil


cook until water evaporates

After few min oil separated shows it cooked and switch of the flame


Spicy mutton roast is ready

METHOD:

  1. Add 15 dried red chillies and a hand ful of salt into a mixer.Grind them to get freshly grounded red chilli flakes.
  2. In a kadai add 250 gm washed boneless mutton pieces,then add 1 tblspn pepper powder and 4 tblspn red chilli flakes.Mix well and rest for 1 hour.
  3. In a pan add 3 tblspn coconut oil,then add 1 cup of shallots and a hand full of curry leaves.Saute until it is golden in colour.
  4. Add marinated mutton pieces and 3 cups of water.Cover the lid and wait to boil.Cook until water evaporates.
  5. After few min water evaporated.Oil separated shows it cooked, switch off the flame and transfer it into a bowl.
  6. Yummy and spicy mutton roast is ready.
