COUNTRY CHICKEN FRY / NATTU KOZHI FRY RECIPE

         Simple and spicy nattu kozhi fry but taste delicious.Cleaned and washed chicken pieces are first cooked well and then marinated in freshly grounded red chilli flakes and salt mixture,later stir fry it in coconut oil until raw smell turns aromatic and slighty crisp brown colour on outside.I learn't this recipe from my mom,please do try this recipe.Now let's check out the recipe....



PREPARATION TIME:20 min

COOKING TIME:40 min

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken pieces / nattu kozhi - 1/2 kg
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tblspn
Dried red chillies - 15
Salt - 1 and 1/2 tblspn
Coconut oil 3 tblspn
Water - 2 cup

PICTORIAL:


Clean and washed nattu kozhi pieces 1/2 kg


Add 2 tblspn ginger garlic paste and 1/2 tspn turmeric powder


Mix well


Heat a wide mouth copper vessel with 2 cup water,add marinated chicken pieces


Close the lid and cook for 40 min


In a blender add 15 dried red chillies and 1 and 1/2 tblspn salt


Grind well to get chilli flakes


After 40 min chicken cooked


Transferred into a bowl


Add 3 tblspn grounded red chilli flakes


Marinate well and rest for 1/2 an hour


Heat a kadai with 3 tblspn coconut oil


Add marinated chicken pieces


Stir occasionally until raw smell of the spices are gone,otherwise it stick to the bottom


After few min it start changes it's colour,stir occasionally


Stir fry until it turns aromatic and brown in colour


Delicious spicy country chicken roast is ready

METHOD:

  • Marinate the chicken with 2 tblspn ginger garlic paste and       1/2 tspn turmeric powder.
  • Heat 2 cup water in a wide mouth copper vessel ,add marinated chicken pieces into it and close the lid and cook for 40 min..
  • In a blender add 15 dried red chillies and 1 and 1/2 tblspn salt,grind well to get chilli flakes.
  • After 40 min chicken cooked well,transferred it into a bowl.Add 3 tblspn red chilli flakes and marinate well,keep aside for 30 min.
  • Heat 3 tblspn coconut oil in a kadai,add marinated chicken pieces,stir fry until raw smell of the spices are gone.  
  • Stir occasionally otherwise it stick to the bottom. After few min it turns aromatic and brown in colour.Now switch off the flame.
  • Delicious and spicy country chicken roast is ready.
